Invest in Children & Youth is located in Charleston, South Carolina and we would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about ourselves and some of the projects we are currently working on. IiCY is a nonprofit organization founded in the year 2000 by a group of committed individuals that wanted to improve the prospects for children to have healthy, happy and productive lives. In these uncertain times, our youth face challenges and fears that previous generations could not have imagined. We want to equip and empower our youth with the tools to deal effectively with the stress and trauma associated with events like abuse, abandonment, natural disasters or war.

Invest in Children & Youth has developed trauma education workshops for teachers, youth leaders and caring adults so that they may successfully identify youth that are at risk for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other related illnesses.  This will enable them to understand the need for helping affected children begin the healing process and recover from events that cause trauma.
